Reverend Amir Tawadrous

In June 2017, Rev. Amir Tawadrous started his first day of ministry in Amherst Presbyterian Church. He was born in Egypt, where his mother remains active in the Presbyterian church he grew up in. He obtained his first Bachelor degree in Social Studies from Minya University in Upper Egypt. Then, he went to finish his first theological degree in Cairo, Egypt. He came to U.S. as a global Scholar to McCormick Theological Seminary where he obtained his second degree in Theology (Master of Theological Studies.) In 2014, he received another scholarship at Union Theological Seminary in New York City where he obtained his third degree in Theology (Master of Sacred Theology.) Prior to his coming to our community at Amherst Presbyterian Church, he was serving two smaller congregations in Kansas City, Kansas. Rev. Amir enjoys ministry that provides hope and meaningful life to people. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, music, watching movies, and planning new programs that reach out to people.
